JG Speedfits Plumbing and Underfloor heating systems has been installed in a prestigious extension in the Home Counties by W.L.F Plumbing and Heating Ltd.

The installation is across two floors. Downstairs the extension will add a new kitchen, utility room, and walkway between the existing and new building, while the upstairs of the extension will be a master bedroom with ensuite.

At an early stage of the development the homeowner decided they wanted underfloor heating on the ground floor of both the existing building and new extension. They saw both the design and space saving advantages in not having radiators, as well as the economical and environmental benefits of the lower temperature of water used in underfloor heating compared to traditional radiators.

The bulk of the plumbing in the new extension was in the kitchen and ensuite.

After the first fix of plumbing had been fitted, the underfloor heating system was installed. The JG Speedfit Underfloor Heating CAD Design Team had sent detailed plans and cutting lists for the underfloor heating system making installation quick and easy.

The pipe was laid quickly and pressure tested at 2 bar for 10 minutes and 10 bar for 10 minutes. The manifold and pump pack were positioned out of sight but accessible in the utility room.
